Augustus Alexander is the CEO of Aegis Securitech, one of the premier security companies in the world. From security systems to discreet personal armor, from elite bodyguards to armed sentries, Aegis provides for a wide variety of security services.

Augustus is a very private man, careful to keep his personal life (and those of his wife and children) away from public scrutiny. Most often, when he is not at home or the office, his presence is noted mostly by the extensive security presence.

Aegis Securitech is one of the few targets of the infamous hacker known as "Chevalier Rouge" to have been successfully defended.

The arrival on the scene of MSV has caused Mr. Alexander a bit of consternation. He sees Maerc's new security company as an upstart at best, dangerous at worst.

"Flashy and dangerous are no match for professionalism and discretion. Aegis Securitech has been providing a number of security services since 1947, and we will continue to do so. Maerc Security Ventures is no threat to us." - Augustus Alexander, in a press release regarding the latest perceived threat to Aegis.

In 1947 the AK-47 was introduced. While it has seen extensive use around the world by such diverse forces as the Warsaw Pact, Viet Cong, and numerous terrorist organizations, it has a number of drawbacks--crude construction, excessive caliber, and lack of readily customizable features.

Just as first class militaries source small arms above and beyond the capabilities of the AK-47, Maerc Security Ventures is proud to offer discerning clientele options that will set them apart from the rabble. Maerc Security Ventures: we're not a threat, we're a promise.

The TWO things going for the AK-47 are: a) there are about a BILLION of them in the world, so if you somehow lose your weapon, you can always pick up an AK-47; and b) WHEN you run out of ammo for your "high-tech" personal weapon, you can pick up ANY AK-47 and find ammo for it pretty much anywhere. Besides, the damn things are almost unbreakable...

"It's the world's most popular assault rifle. A weapon all fighters love. An elegantly simple 9 pound amalgamation of forged steel and plywood. It doesn't break, jam, or overheat. It'll shoot whether it's covered in mud or filled with sand. It's so easy, even a child can use it; and they do."

Heh heh heh, but my point with "Professor" Etheric still stands.

Oh man, this guy is cool. Not just in design, but wow. Busy dude, too. Not many people can pull off glasses like that.

He'd get along really well with one of the velai/instructors in INTS:BG with his disposition hahaha.

Thanks! And I'm sure he WOULD get along with them.

(Those glasses are a design choice I decided to go for - they kinda look like shields.)

Also, in case you're wondering, there IS a serious rivalry/war going on between lirvilas's MSV and Aegis Securitech... It's canon! :)
